Discipleship and Initiation

Discipleship and Initiation

Outstanding aims in Training For discipleship

I am remembering something I would like to paraphrase. A disciple on the path sees the light and is attracted to it and would like to move toward it but, a true disciple looks backwards. He sees his brothers on the path and how their light does not shine as bright. He turns away from the lightand goes back to lift and help his brothers on the path to make their light so they may see the way better. This is the true training for discipleship- service, sacrifice and the desire to lift and help The aims are to see the light on the path. This is not only dedication to the light of the pathe but also service to the hierarchy and to fellow disciples. It is all one and the responsibility to the hierarchy and to fellow disciple cannot be stressed enough.

To be able to do a daily reflection with indifference and observation.

To Serve  the plan

I am also brought to the oath of fire which is a very serious summary of the aim of the disciple. To be able to control this path and dedicate to it worth complete control of the physical, astral and mental bodies so as to achieve without  destruction or self harm.

One outstanding aim of the disciple is to know how not to rush. To move on each initiation level when one has passed all tests and is truly ready. This is not to bypass  indifference, and sacrifice. Or as is said when the disciple is ready the master will appear I am that I am.

The aim of the disciple is to understand the energy they are a part of

Harmlessness

To act as an observer with indifference

Thought word deeds actions

The disciple must have respect for the body. It is the body of action on the physical plane. It is the gift by which the disciple can be of service and reach others.

Another aim of discipleship is Physical control, astral insight and mental discipline

To understand the difference between wisdom, and knowledge and to begin the preparation for group work and initiation.

The disciple must go thru all the steps and be tested on the basis of TThe  with love and will

The pth of discipleship requires the mastery of cycles and be able to work with the rapidity.

And last to learn how to relate to light vs darkness and understand its pattern The disciple must know how to balance the energies that are being presented on this path of learning andself reflection.

Discrimination

Discrimination at the individual level is only a reflection of the group or greater political viewpoint. What happens at the individual level is only a mini microcosm reflection of the greater picture. To learn discrimination at one level is to accomplish at all levels. Nothing happens in a vacum apart from the greater whole. As is said the essential unfoldness of the disciple is  discrimination. THis is the ability to stand apart with indifference. This is not art the political level as of yet. The individual would have to change in thousands as a group discrimination could take on a bigger picture.  The difference between the internal world and external world would have to be learned at a much larger scope. One would have to evolve to the point of seeing – but more so being daily in thought word and deed and act on a daily basis with the duality of the ego- soul and personality. At a group level theis would be very powerful for change. I am–I am that–I am that I am– key to discrimination. First comes the individual. Without the individual reaching this point it cannot become a group manifestation or change the world in any way. One must practice thru observation the act of discrimination daily. It must come from the heart. This is not a mental process. One must understand which plane one is operating on at any given time and be able to act from a discrimination point as the outside observer. Here indifference plays a key role.

Service

2.1 Service as a Path to Elevation: In the Bible, service is often linked to elevation. By serving others, we serve God and grow spiritually. Mark 10:45

2.2 Examples of Service Leading to Elevation: Many biblical figures, such as Joseph and David, experienced elevation through their service to others and to God. (1 Samuel 16 12, (Genesis 41 41) Genesis 41:41

There are many examples in the bible where service lead to the highest spiritual conncection to the divine.

The path of service can bring one to the highest knowledge  Thru renunciation and humility and service to the divine goals of the hierarchy one is raised from self to a greater larger self, Service is at many levels  The initial service can be to the body as to care for and serve the body one has the pure strong vehicle to serve mankind and walk out on a daily basis with purification and love . This touches all one encounters. With a weak not nurtured body one cannot serve. It is not wrong to love and serve the physical body with care and refinement for that is service to the divine thru the bestowed vehicle. Purification of the body is the first step. Then we move on to purification of the emotions with reflection on motive and intention. To serve that which is elevated to pure love opens the door to knowledge and last the lower mind  To watch thoughts and daily manifestations is raising to a higher form  in service. To raise each body to a higher lever sets the pathe for service and is in fact service. When the lower reflects in the higher and the plea to be recognized to serve is heard knowledge and then wisdom is achieved. Service to all bodies as an act of raising to the highest levels of lower ot higher is an act of service sacrifice and dedication to the plan, Acts of service are acts of sacrifice. It is hard to give up what the personality hold us to.

‘True service is the spontaneous outflow of a loving heart and an intelligent mind… it is produced by the inevitable inflow of spiritual force and not by strenuous physical plane activity; it is the effect of a man’s being what he truly is, a divine Son of God, and not by the studied effect of his words of deeds.’

“The idea of service is, at this time, the major idea to be grasped for (in grasping it) we open ourselves wide to the new incoming influences. The Law of Service is the expression of the energy of a great Life, who, in cooperation with Him “in Whom we live and move and have our being”, is subjecting the human family to certain influences and streams of energy which will eventually do three things:— 1. Awaken the heart centre in all aspirants and disciples. ”

And thus service becomes the highest knowledge one can achieve.
